Matthew 19:26 – The Message Jesus looked hard at them and said, "No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."
Can you believe it? It’s already the middle of November with Thanksgiving next week and Christmas only 40 days away! OooooWeeee! Where is the time going? As we have moved through the election season, what are the possibilities before us? In our daily wonder, what can be? Children are making lists and making known what they would like for Christmas. They wonder if they will get what they ask for like last Christmas. Unless they did not do their chores, or the ask is outrageous, they will likely get it. For some parents, money being tight is a reality…especially during this pandemic. But most of those parents are going to try to make it happen. By the way…a must see is Jingle Jangle on Netflix…a wonderful musical highlighting the square root of possibilities! The power of telling the story!
Let’s go deeper! The pandemic has changed our lives. There are many who are unemployed, underemployed, unhoused, sick, suffering and feel there is nowhere to go. Even though it’s a lot right now. Even though it seems things are not as they once were, the possibilities are endless. How is possibility defined? Dictionary.com defines possible, a noun, as a thing that may happen or be the case. We must hope for things known and unknown; as well as things seen and unseen! We must rise above the negatively which is before us every day! We will make it through better than we were before. We must stand up and have the courage to want what is best for all and be willing to sacrifice in love. Possibilities are not afraid of the “what if’s”. We would not be as far as we are today had those who have gone before us not built the foundation and paved the way! Was it easy? NO Was it without struggle? NO Yes, there may behard days and restless nights ahead, but God will give us strength to persevere. Let us be brave my brothers and sisters! By being brave, we will build character, change and help those who need us the most! As best sung by Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers The Best is Yet to Come! Here is the link.
As you know this is #StuffValSaid, but what about you? What do you say? What are the possibilities you see? What is your “what can be”? How do WE create a greater good for all? Here are a few suggestions:
• Will – to be determined to make things happen
• Wisdom – to be of good judgment
• Integrity – to be honest
• Bravery – to be courageous
• Compassion – to be concerned
What possibilities will you create? Use the gifts, talents and treasure given to you to create an abundance of possibilities! Luke 18:27 King James Version (KJV) And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Pray for what can be! I’m hopeful and optimistic of where possibilities will take us! I love you!
