2 Chronicles 15:7 - The Message “But it’s different with you: Be strong. Take heart. Payday is coming!”
What a year? Here we are…the last 2 days of the year 2020, the 5th day of Christmas and 4th day of Kwanzaa! So many are ready for this year to be done! Actually, I begin my “new year” on my birthday. But why are people ready for this year to be done, finished, over…? Yes, there has been much struggle, strife, loss, illness, disease, and other things. Maybe even for you, but be strong. Take heart. Payday is coming.
Because there have also been many breakthroughs, so many acts of kindness, and gifts we could have never hoped for! I saw more than I could have imagined this year, but I also grew like I never thought was possible. One of my biggest lessons/blessings was it is okay not to be okay! It was HUGE for me! But you know the strength is in the struggle! We are overcomers! Be strong. Take heart. Payday is coming.
As a people, we make a way out of no way! As humans, we tend look at the negative before the positive. This has been proven in scientific studies. Today I say what the scripture says above. Be strong. Take heart. Payday is coming. My glass is overflowing with the hope, possibilities, opportunities, and love of what can be. How about you? This year has given us a gift of reflection, renewal and releasing. One of my favorite movies is Frozen 1…with the famous line “let it go!” If we hold on to the negativity, it will kill our souls and spirits! Love over hate! God revealed so much good to us over the last year! Let us REFLECT. We found we didn’t need as much money or stuff, to care more about others, many families are closer, there is no greater gift than God’s love for us! The really good news here is WE MADE IT THROUGH!
Let us RENEW: As we move to the new year, we must stay focused and encouraged! I’m encouraged! Are you? Because now is the time to RELEASE. There have been so many opportunities to grow and let go and let God! “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3
As you know this is #StuffValSaid, but what do you say? What have been your major reflections? What are you releasing? What are your plans for renewal? Here are a few things to consider:
• Freedom – be liberated
• Revive – be active
• Response – give your best effort
• Vigor – be alert and endure
In the spirit of Kwanzaa and we move into the new year, there must be unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith! Life is short! Let us make the very best of the time we have to do the work God has given us to do! Love you!
